Aronai Sky Table Runner

The Aronai motif is one of the more recognisable patterns in Assamese weaving, traditionally seen on bodo gamosas and other handloom textiles, made up of repeating leaf-like and diamond shapes arranged in neat rows. This runner uses that same motif in a soft sky blue paired with mustard yellow diamonds, woven in three repeating bands across the border for a layered, textured look. The off-white body is left mostly plain, dotted with small blue and mustard butis for a bit of detail without taking away from the border. Sky blue tassels finish both ends. Handwoven on traditional wood looms using 100% premium cotton threads. The blue and mustard combination sits well with both light and dark wood tables, and it's easygoing enough for daily use while still looking put-together for guests. As with all handwoven pieces, small variations in the pattern are natural.
