The Aronai motif is one of the more recognisable patterns in Assamese weaving, traditionally seen on bodo gamosas and other handloom textiles, made up of repeating leaf-like and diamond shapes arranged in neat rows. This runner uses that same motif in a soft sky blue paired with mustard yellow diamonds, woven in three repeating bands across the border for a layered, textured look. The off-white body is left mostly plain, dotted with small blue and mustard butis for a bit of detail without taking away from the border. Sky blue tassels finish both ends.
Handwoven on traditional wood looms using 100% premium cotton threads. The blue and mustard combination sits well with both light and dark wood tables, and it's easygoing enough for daily use while still looking put-together for guests. As with all handwoven pieces, small variations in the pattern are natural.
