Violet Reign

Violet Reign is made from 100% pure cotton, hand-woven on a traditional Assamese wood loom using the throw-shuttle technique. The deep royal purple fabric has a natural texture and sheen that makes it stand out even before you notice the details. Large, elaborate white and gold extra-weft Buta motifs are placed across the lower body and border , each one featuring layered floral and paisley forms that take considerable skill and time to weave. The border is finished with a wide band of dense gold extra-weft patterning, running the full length of the hem. Small gold and white Buta motifs are scattered across the body, and white tassels finish the edges cleanly. This is a piece that works equally well for weddings, pujas, and formal occasions, and it only gets better with age and proper care.
